EA SPORTS Cup draw to be held on Thursday PDF Print E-mail

Twenty-nine clubs will be entered into the draw for the first three rounds of the EA SPORTS Cup, which will take place on Thursday.

As well as the 22 Airtricity League Premier and First division clubs, five Newstalk A Championship and two non-league clubs will be entered into the draws for the preliminary round, first round and second round of the 2010 EA SPORTS Cup.


Clubs who have qualified for European competition, as well as clubs who remain in the 2009/10 Setanta Sports Cup, will receive a bye into the second round of the competition. The six clubs who will receive byes are Bohemians, Dundalk, St. Patrick's Athletic, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and Sporting Fingal.


The full list of clubs competing in the 2010 EA SPORTS Cup is as follows:

Airtricity League Premier Division: Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, Drogheda United, Dundalk, Galway United, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers,Sporting Fingal, St. Patrick's Athletic, UCD

Airtricity League First Division: Athlone Town, Cork City Foras Co-op, Derry City, Finn Harps, Limerick, Longford Town, Mervue United, Monaghan United, Salthill Devon, Shelbourne, Waterford United, Wexford Youths

Newstalk A Championship: Castlebar Celtic, FC Carlow, Cobh Ramblers, Tralee Dynamos, Tullamore Town.
