Sporting Fingal will look to book their first ever FAI Ford Cup final appearance when they host Bray wanderers in Sunday's semi final at Morton Stadium. ![]() Fingal defender Stephen Paisley was with Longford Town when the midlanders won the competition in 2003 and 2004. However, the defender did not play in either final appearance and is determined to lead Fingal out in the Tallaght Stadium on November 22nd. "I played in Tallaght in the quarter final and it's a smashing place," he said. "But first things first, we have to beat Bray. I have been back here in Ireland maybe five or six years now and I think I've been reasonably successful in the League. I've really enjoyed playing League of Ireland football. I'd love to walk out on that cup final stage and bring the cup back to the club." Liam Buckley's side will be without the suspended Darren Quigley and Gary O'Neill, although Robert Bayly does return from the banned list. Bray Wanderers will also have to re-jig their side slightly, with Derek Pender suspended for the cup semi final and Derek Foran (groin) and Gary McCabe (ankle) struggling with injury. |
