Hoops to welcome Celtic to Tallaght

Shamrock Rovers will host a Celtic XI in a friendly game at Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday February 23rd, kick-off 8.00pm.

Celtic’s current first team squad includes Republic of Ireland captain and Tallaght native Robbie Keane as well as former Hoops’ player Paddy McCourt.

“Imagine Robbie Keane making his Tallaght Stadium debut against Shamrock Rovers,” says Hoops’ chairman, Jonathan Roche. “He’d be guaranteed a fantastic homecoming.

“The people of Tallaght are football crazy, and many excellent players have been produced here – but Robbie is clearly the cream of the crop and very much a local hero.

“Paddy McCourt is another player who needs no introduction to Rovers’
fans as he made a huge impact and scored some amazing goals during his time at the club. “

Tickets priced €15 for adults and €10 for children/concessions will be on sale at the Shamrock Rovers Megastore at Tallaght Stadium from Tuesday, February 9th.
