A busy morning at Richmond Park has seen Conor Kenna sign for St. Patrick's Athletic, while Ryan Guy has also committed himself to the club. Central defender Kenna joins the Saints from Drogheda United. He will be reunited at Richmond Park with new Saints manager Pete Mahon, who previously managed Kenna at UCD. ![]() Guy, meanwhile, has given the Inchicore club a boost by signing a further one year extension to his current contract. Having made over 100 appearances since signing with the club in 2007, the American’s all action style of play has made a firm favourite at Inchicore. Saints fans can now look forward to seeing Guy in the red and white until at least 2011. "The security of two years will definitely help me with my own performance," commented Guy. "This year I hope to take on more responsibility, we have a lot of young players coming through and though I’m pretty young myself I have been at the club for a number of seasons now so I feel can offer more leadership on the pitch. "We’re just back from a training weekend in Wexford and I’m very excited with the new players in the squad – they’re young and motivated and I see us with a real chance of winning a trophy this year. Winning a trophy is not only a team goal but would be a personal goal for me as a footballer." St. Pat's take on Longford Town on Wednesday night in a friendly match at Richmond Park. Kick-off is at 7.45pm. |
